Organisation Development (OD) is an increasingly influential field of practice in the Singapore Public Service. One reason is that there is an increasing need for Public Service organisations to respond more deftly to the changes in their external environments. The purpose of this paper is to clarify for leaders some of the key principles and practices of Organisation Development (OD). OD is a term used quite often in the Singapore Public Service these days, but one which seems to be largely misunderstood.
